Below you can read all the details about the 2024 Holger Danske Marathon

You can pick up your bib number one hour and 30 minutes before the start time.

There will be a station at 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM, i.e., 3 stations for the 21K and 6 for the 42K since it’s an out and back course.

There will be water, soda, and energy at the stations. We have cups for you.

MARATHON START AT 9.30 FROM HELSINGØR HALF MARATHON START AT 10.00 FROM HELSINGØR 10.5 KM START AT 9.30 FROM HELSINGØR Routes: The full marathon starts from Helsingør Tennis Club, Nordre Strandvej 14, 3000 Helsingør, see the address on the map and then runs to Gilleleje, where it turns around and runs back along the same route. The half marathon starts from Helsingør Tennis Club, Nordre Strandvej 14, 3000 Helsingør, see the address on the map and then runs to Hornbæk, where it turns around and runs back along the same route.

The 10.5 km is run from Nordre Strandvej to Ålsgårde, where you turn at the first station.

The route is on fine asphalt with a flat and level surface, and you run on the water side of the beach road both out and back. The routes are well marked with km indications, and along the route, you will meet happy and engaged guides. The half and full marathon are officially measured by the Danish Athletics Federation (DAF).

The normal traffic rules (road traffic law) apply to all runners. When you turn around in the half and full marathon, remember that you are running against traffic, i.e., on the water side of the beach road and will face direct oncoming traffic.

For the full marathon runners, there are 4 km at Gilleleje, which are run on the road, i.e., no sidewalk or bike path. We will ensure sufficient warning signs for the traffic on this stretch.

PLEASE NOTE: Participation is personal and must not be directly transferred without approval from the race organizer. Changing the name or distance by reselling or transferring the bib number can only be done BEFORE the registration deadline expires for a fee of DKK 75.00. When you register for our race, you also give us the right to use photographic material from the race in our marketing (posters, flyers, banners, etc.). Please note that from today we are moving away from being able to transfer the bib number to the next year, and we do not refund the purchase of the bib number. If you have a doctor’s note, we would like to help with exchanging the bib number for one of our other races. If desired, please send an email with the declaration in an email to td@riskitmedia.com.”
